They will provide an income of bots, which can then be used to improve other aspects of the game.The QueenThe queen is important to gameplay in that it can help you either gather bots or research. Both of these things are vital to progress further in the game. The queen, at certain points in the game, can evolve into a larger being, providing more and more bonuses.Implants can be crafted and applied to the queen during the game to boost the queen's effects. ResearchResearching is completed by the queen once it is available. The queen must be set to research specific upgrades one at a time. Once they have been researched, they need to be manually activated before their effects are applied.EvolutionThis is a staging mechanic that allows you to progress through the game in set stages. Each evolutionary form represents a new level in the game. New upgrades become available, new options in the forge become available, and the missed secrets from the last level are lost and replaced with those of the new level. Evolution is performed by researching the required upgrade (Evolution: Stage X), then activating it. An "Evolve" button presents itself, which enables the player to move on to the next stage.Once evolution is complete, the queen must once again grow to 100% before researching can be started again.SecretsScattered throughout each stage are a number of secret, clickable objects. Each of these provide a small to moderate once off bonus to bots. Once a stage has been passed, the secrets from that stage can no longer be found, thus the achievements attached to them are lost until the game is prestiged and the stage once again attained.LaboratoryThe laboratory can be used to gamble bots in the hope of achieving free bots in return. This works similar to a slot machine, and has a fairly balanced return rate. ClickerVery basic mobile-only (android) clicker game with very linear gameplay. Could be fun for a few minutes, but gets boring very very quickly. Each upgrade is limited (5 level ups max), most of the time you'll have only 1 option to upgrade, the other options are locked until you upgrade your harbor (which you can only do after you max out the other upgrades). So you don't have a lot of exciting stuff to do, and the game is too predictable.The game does feature nice graphics and interesting harbor theme, but these are mostly the only pros of the Harbor Tycoon Clicker.The game interface is a bit unresponsive at times (you have to tap upgrade buttons multiple times before it finally registers your tap). But the clicking part is actually fun and quite responsive. It has nice visuals, and when you use 5 fingers to tap it looks and feels pretty good.Overall, a very boring clicker game with very limited upgrades and very linear gameplay. If you do like the harbor theme, you can try playing it since its free anyway, but you'll probably find this game a waste of your time.
