The upgrade multiplier button just to the right of the wealth bar at the top of the screen allows you to make improvements to each sector in bulk.The number on the specialist map panel indicates your current recruits. Request a planetary reassignment to convert them into specialists. Specialists always give an inherent output bonus, but can also be assigned to nodes in the specialist map, increasing your performance even further!The statistics panel can be a helpful tool in determining what sectors you might be interested in improving next. The bar chart is a normalized representation of the output per second of each sector. The smallest being the lowest per second, the largest being the highest per second, and all the other proportionately in between.Clicking the cog icon in the upper-left corner will open the settings menu. The resources can be viewed in the Resources Panel in the upper right of your screen. Each resource functions slightly differently, and some can even go negative, so it's important to keep an eye on them during all stages of the game.There are 7 resources currently available:OreHelium3AirFoodCreditsEnergyPopulationTo produce more resources, you'll need to construct various facilities appropriate for each resource.CommandThe Command tab is where you manage Junction Gate's personnel and policies. Much of this functionality won't be present until you build governmental facilities. Be warned, the command decisions you make will have a profound impact on your game!PersonnelCommanders amplify the effect of your workers by providing them direction. Commanders each have different specialties and can only affect workers in their own department. By training your commanders, you can increase the impact they have on station personnel and decrease the liklihood that the commander will be killed if disaster strikes. You can only have up to four commanders at a time and they are assigned randomly as the story unfolds.Station personnel can be assigned to various departments in Junction Gate to supplement basic resource production. However, station personnel will not be assignable until governmental facilities have been built. Each worker equates to an additional unit of production.Station GovernanceThe Station Governance tab allows you to manage your station's social, military, and economic polices. Each policy will have an affect on your station itself, as well as affecting how the various factions interact with you. To see what a policy does, hover over the text for a description.EconomyThe Economy tab is where you'll manage your finances. As you progressively upgrade your facilities, you'll have access to investment funds, a stock market, and even a casino.InvestmentsEach level of investment will allow you to earn credits interest at set intervals based on the amount invested.Stock MarketOnce the stock market has been unlocked, you'll be able invest in corporations across the Commonwealth. You are required to create Bots, buy Factories, grow your Queen, perform Research, forge Implants, find Treasures, Evolve, and Prestige. Transcendence at stage 14 will bring a wormhole delivering free factories.Bots and FactoriesBots are the main currency of the game and, as with most incrementals, can be gathered manually or automatically through the construction of buildings. Buildings can provide a number of changes to bots, from giving more per manual click to more per automated click.The factories are just as important, providing a way to automate the process entirely. They will provide an income of bots, which can then be used to improve other aspects of the game.The QueenThe queen is important to gameplay in that it can help you either gather bots or research. Both of these things are vital to progress further in the game. The queen, at certain points in the game, can evolve into a larger being, providing more and more bonuses.Implants can be crafted and applied to the queen during the game to boost the queen's effects. ResearchResearching is completed by the queen once it is available. The queen must be set to research specific upgrades one at a time. These upgrades affect a number of different aspects of the game, from resources per click to automated resource production and more. Once they have been researched, they need to be manually activated before their effects are applied.EvolutionThis is a staging mechanic that allows you to progress through the game in set stages. Each evolutionary form represents a new level in the game. New upgrades become available, new options in the forge become available, and the missed secrets from the last level are lost and replaced with those of the new level. Evolution is performed by researching the required upgrade (Evolution: Stage X), then activating it. An "Evolve" button presents itself, which enables the player to move on to the next stage.Once evolution is complete, the queen must once again grow to 100% before researching can be started again.SecretsScattered throughout each stage are a number of secret, clickable objects. Each of these provide a small to moderate once off bonus to bots. Once a stage has been passed, the secrets from that stage can no longer be found, thus the achievements attached to them are lost until the game is prestiged and the stage once again attained.LaboratoryThe laboratory can be used to gamble bots in the hope of achieving free bots in return. This works similar to a slot machine, and has a fairly balanced return rate. However, there is a chance that upon using the machine, a virus outbreak can occur.A virus outbreak gradually eats away at your bots. It is represented by a bot moving around the screen randomly.
