They quickly become more and more expensive, making the later ones more efficient for their cost.In addition, there are workers that provide other effects. You start being a part of a civilization and there are currently two people in there that tell you what you can do (kill goblins, mine, collect bones, upgrade cauldren). There are bosses and eventually you control your own kingdom. I didn't have the audio on that long but it seems like they have some good music.
