It's a careful balancing game designed to make you decide which resource is more important to make the biggest profit.The PremiseIn Progress Bars, your goal is to run an international conglomerate company and make oodles of cash. To accomplish this, you're gonna need some workers. But before that, you'll need some cold, hard cash.Making MoneyClick the Earn Money button to start generating income.Once you have enough money, buy your first Worker.Put this worker on wood-gathering duty by clicking the + button next to Wood.Watch! The worker will slowly gather wood, increasing your supply.Now get a few more workers and allocate them to Wood and Forest.You'll notice that Wood will get a 2x synergy bonus. This happens when you have some supply of Forest when your workers gather Wood.After a little while, you'll unlock Commodity Sales. Put some workers into sales.Every time the sales bar fills up, your workers will transport 50% of the supply of each resource into the sales warehouse.Next time when the sales bar fills up, your workers will sell 50% of the supply that is in the sales warehouse itself.Continue playing and see what you can discover!NodesThere are 4 different types of nodes:Biomes - like the ForestResources - like Wood and RubberSales - like Commodity SalesTools - like Cut ToolsQuadrantsThe game is divided into four quadrants. Resources can be spent on purchasing military units to automatically kill aliens for you. Once enough xp has been gained, the player levels up and is rewarded with research points. These can be spent on upgrades to improve the resources per second that military units provide amongst other things.

This opens up the abilities of that particular character, providing a new layer of strategy in the game.MonstersSimilar to the previous game, monsters populate the world and are a way for the player to gain better loot as well as experience. However, in this game, the monsters can wander through the map, attacking the player's characters as they like. Each item in turn can only be applied to a single adventurer, meaning an item that might be good for one character, cannot be used by another.

Progress Quest follows reverently in the footsteps of recent smash hit online worlds, but is careful to streamline the more tedious aspects of those offerings.
