The player is represented by a square in the top left portion of the screen inside a platformer display. To collect resources (cubes) the player must stand on the far left section marked as blue. In order to purchase upgrades, the player must collect the marked number in another section of the platformer, then approach that section as the player. This will buy the upgrade. This does mean that equipment cannot be shared between characters, though the store and item drops will only provide items that you can use.In addition to the standard equipment, artifacts can be found. Things such as "Ancient Idol" can be collected during gameplay and provide additional permanent effects to the game.
