Candy Box

RPGCandybox is one of the earliest examples of incremental games, and is arguably one of the most popular. It starts out with a simple interface, counting up candies and allowing the player to eat them, and quickly expands into a well designed and complex game with a wide range of elements.CandyCandy is the main resource of the game and starts out by gathering automatically at a rate of 1 per second. The player initially has the option of eating the candy, but is soon offered to throw the candy on the ground. Eventually, the player is required to use the candy in a wide range of situations, and it is generally considered the currency of the game. Once enough candy has been collected, more gameplay options are made available.QuestingOnce the sword has been purchased, the player can choose to go on "an epic quest" to collect resources. The quest screen consists of a drop down box that allows the player to select the location in which they would like to quest. Once a location has been selected, the player and location appear on screen in ASCII format and the player's symbol moves to the right, fighting any enemies that are in the way. You start as a simple miner armed with a stick and build your way up to elaborate tools, magical allies, and more.DefensesThere are three methods of defense against the incoming hordes of goblins.WallsMagesBear TrapsWalls are the simplest defense, and are use to simply keep the goblins at bay. They will, however, eventually break through. Goblins can be manually killed by clicking them early game. The wall can be upgraded as the game progresses to increase the amount of damage it can handle.Mages provide an automated system to take care of defenses. They automatically attack goblins as they approach and can be purchased in high numbers. They reside within the wall to keep them safe as they attack from a distance.Bear traps prevent the goblins from approaching at all. They are timed, providing a short amount of protection.WorkersThere are a number of workers available to purchase, and each provides an automatic income of gold. They quickly become more and more expensive, making the later ones more efficient for their cost.In addition, there are workers that provide other effects. The mage, as above, kills goblins as they approach, while the craftsman ensure that any damage to the walls are mended.

Optimize your production chain and vendor distribution to earn achievements that unlock permanent advantages!The pannel on the bottom shows an item’s production. Click on the product icon to speed up production, click Sell All to sell your storage and Upgrade/Downgrade on the left to change the production level.You can buy multiple upgrades at once by holding down shift/control:* Shift: x10* Control: x50* Shift + Control: MaximumOn the left side you see your vendors and researchs.Research happens automatically even when your offline. Invest money in more research points/second to speed it up.Vendors can be used to automatically sell items at the end of an item’s production cycle. You can distribute them in an item’s production detail panel next to the sell button.On the right side you see your current modifiers and active bonuses. You get a free bonus every 24 hours, so be sure to check back everyday. Some modifiers are also affected by permanent achievement advantages.In the top bar you can reset your game progress, which is the only way to advance to a higher level. When you do this, you will lose your current savings, your built production units and your researches., but you will keep all achievements, active bonuses, bought vendors and research point investments.You can reset the game at any time, but you will only advance to a higher level, when you earned enough points for the level. You get 1 point for each order of magnitude of your current money above your current level minus one (e.g. 1.0E12 and level 3: 12 – 2 = 10 points)
