Candy Box

RPGCandybox is one of the earliest examples of incremental games, and is arguably one of the most popular. It starts out with a simple interface, counting up candies and allowing the player to eat them, and quickly expands into a well designed and complex game with a wide range of elements.CandyCandy is the main resource of the game and starts out by gathering automatically at a rate of 1 per second. The player initially has the option of eating the candy, but is soon offered to throw the candy on the ground. Eventually, the player is required to use the candy in a wide range of situations, and it is generally considered the currency of the game. Once enough candy has been collected, more gameplay options are made available.QuestingOnce the sword has been purchased, the player can choose to go on "an epic quest" to collect resources. The quest screen consists of a drop down box that allows the player to select the location in which they would like to quest. Once a location has been selected, the player and location appear on screen in ASCII format and the player's symbol moves to the right, fighting any enemies that are in the way. It provides a simple interface comprised of a number of progress bars, each representing a different type of resource. The player must gather enough money to hire a number of workers to produce raw materials, then hire several more workers to sell products made of those materials. It's a careful balancing game designed to make you decide which resource is more important to make the biggest profit.The PremiseIn Progress Bars, your goal is to run an international conglomerate company and make oodles of cash. To accomplish this, you're gonna need some workers. But before that, you'll need some cold, hard cash.Making MoneyClick the Earn Money button to start generating income.Once you have enough money, buy your first Worker.Put this worker on wood-gathering duty by clicking the + button next to Wood.Watch! The worker will slowly gather wood, increasing your supply.Now get a few more workers and allocate them to Wood and Forest.You'll notice that Wood will get a 2x synergy bonus. This happens when you have some supply of Forest when your workers gather Wood.After a little while, you'll unlock Commodity Sales. Civ Builder, IdlerBreak the strange beast egg while evolving your civilization trying to increase the damage done to the egg (and later to the monster which hatches out of it). Starting from the stone age and men with clubs doing very little damage and up to modern age fighting the egg with tanks, aircrafts etc.The gameplay is fun, but the game doesn't progress when you're away, so it consumes a lot of your time. It doesn't seem to be finished as the reset basically doesn't give you anything useful, so once you reach modern age, that's basically it. Although technically the game is not over, there is nothing else left to upgrade or discover in the game.
