It is somewhat deep with many different options available in the game, be sure to move your mouse to "?" button at the top right to better understand each game screen, as they're otherwise not intuitively understandable. Each item in turn can only be applied to a single adventurer, meaning an item that might be good for one character, cannot be used by another.
