Game Description
Progress Quest is a next generation computer role-playing game. Gamers who have played modern online role-playing games, or almost any computer role-playing game, or who have at any time installed or upgraded their operating system, will find themselves incredibly comfortable with Progress Quest's very familiar gameplay. Progress Quest follows reverently in the footsteps of recent smash hit online worlds, but is careful to streamline the more tedious aspects of those offerings. Players will still have the satisfaction of building their character from a ninety-pound level 1 teenager, to an incredibly puissant, magically imbued warrior, well able to snuff out the lives of a barnload of bugbears without need of so much as a lunch break. Yet, gone are the tedious micromanagement and other frustrations common to that older generation of RPG's.

For example, bellows hover around the Windmill and blows to it. And Tax collector flies a zeppelin and grabs coins from the buildings.To let the sun be rotated while the phone is off, connect a planet to it. The planets orbits around the sun and rotate it (yes, in this mechanical world physics works this way! :) ) Also the propeller can be connected to the sun and razes it higher, increasing the energy produced.Floating Islands world introduces discovery mechanics, as well as shooting and looting, besides the common building gameplay. You start on one island, build scout bases to find more. Connect the discovered islands with your central one with railroad bridges, cableways or antennas. All of these transport energy, and multiple connections work as energy multiplier. The more energy gets to the central island the more money is produced by the Bank.Build Oil Wells, Windmills and Lightning chargers to generate more energy on the islands. As soon as your sky empire is strong enough you can challenge yourself and build an airship bait. It will attract airship caravans full of gold. Strategically locate cannons and Tesla guns on their way to destroy and loot them.Combine available elements in all the worlds well to boost your income and to become a millionaire. This xp is applied to the character and used to increment the character's level, improving their attack strength and chance of hitting a higher level monster. Monsters can be upgraded at any time, but it is possible that if the player chooses a monster of a level well beyond their own, they may not be able to hit it. Higher monsters provide higher drops.EquipmentNew equipment can be bought at any time, though they must be equal to or below the player's current level for them to be used. The equipment can be upgraded at any time however (even right at the start of the game) proving that the player has enough pixels to purchase the upgrades. The upgrades are applied to the equipment the player currently has, and can improve things such as xp and pixels gained, accuracy, attack speed, and more.Purchasing and SellingThe game implements a system where pricing is randomly set within a range of the current market value of whatever is being purchased. Early game, prices can have a base value of 10 and a range of +/- 3 pixels, meaning that the player can get as low as 7 to buy the item. Late game, this variance increases.
