Civ Builder, ClickerThe successor to the original Parameters game, Heiankyo Parameters adds a few new features to the game.TerritoryOccupying territory is done by clicking and holding the mouse button over an empty or semi-occupied territory. Territories have a number of different levels of occupation, each providing a different quantity of cash once completed. Each territory also provides automatic income at regular intervals once it has been obtained.Yellow territories are occupied by aliens and must first be cleared before they can be built upon. Each of these combat situations takes into account the player's attack and defense values and with each click, runs a combat simulation. If the player's health reaches 0, attack, defense, and recover are temporarily reduced to 0. The player must wait for these to return before attacking again. Once an enemy has been attacked, their health will regenerate over time.CashCash is rewarded with each time an unoccupied territory is levelled up, and a smaller amount at regular intervals thereafter. Cash can be spent on buying upgrades that affect attack strength and defense level.LevellingThis is done automatically when the player collects enough XP. Once a level has been achieved, the player receives points that can be spent on attributes. The attributes are assigned at the right of the screen using the + buttons next to the three lines. The five available are Life, Attack, Defense, Recovery, and Cost.Action PointsActions can only be performed when the player has enough points to spend on performing them. You are required to create Bots, buy Factories, grow your Queen, perform Research, forge Implants, find Treasures, Evolve, and Prestige. Transcendence at stage 14 will bring a wormhole delivering free factories.Bots and FactoriesBots are the main currency of the game and, as with most incrementals, can be gathered manually or automatically through the construction of buildings. Buildings can provide a number of changes to bots, from giving more per manual click to more per automated click.The factories are just as important, providing a way to automate the process entirely. They will provide an income of bots, which can then be used to improve other aspects of the game.The QueenThe queen is important to gameplay in that it can help you either gather bots or research. Both of these things are vital to progress further in the game. The queen, at certain points in the game, can evolve into a larger being, providing more and more bonuses.Implants can be crafted and applied to the queen during the game to boost the queen's effects. ResearchResearching is completed by the queen once it is available. The queen must be set to research specific upgrades one at a time. Once they have been researched, they need to be manually activated before their effects are applied.EvolutionThis is a staging mechanic that allows you to progress through the game in set stages. Each evolutionary form represents a new level in the game. New upgrades become available, new options in the forge become available, and the missed secrets from the last level are lost and replaced with those of the new level. Evolution is performed by researching the required upgrade (Evolution: Stage X), then activating it. An "Evolve" button presents itself, which enables the player to move on to the next stage.Once evolution is complete, the queen must once again grow to 100% before researching can be started again.SecretsScattered throughout each stage are a number of secret, clickable objects. Each of these provide a small to moderate once off bonus to bots. Once a stage has been passed, the secrets from that stage can no longer be found, thus the achievements attached to them are lost until the game is prestiged and the stage once again attained.LaboratoryThe laboratory can be used to gamble bots in the hope of achieving free bots in return. This works similar to a slot machine, and has a fairly balanced return rate. However, there is a chance that upon using the machine, a virus outbreak can occur.A virus outbreak gradually eats away at your bots. It is represented by a bot moving around the screen randomly.
