Progress Quest follows reverently in the footsteps of recent smash hit online worlds, but is careful to streamline the more tedious aspects of those offerings. Keep in mind you will fight similarly gunned opponents.

ClickerThis game provides a graphically pleasing and mechanically broad experience. There are a wide range of options available to the player, secrets, achievements, and more. You are required to create Bots, buy Factories, grow your Queen, perform Research, forge Implants, find Treasures, Evolve, and Prestige. Transcendence at stage 14 will bring a wormhole delivering free factories.Bots and FactoriesBots are the main currency of the game and, as with most incrementals, can be gathered manually or automatically through the construction of buildings. Buildings can provide a number of changes to bots, from giving more per manual click to more per automated click.The factories are just as important, providing a way to automate the process entirely. They will provide an income of bots, which can then be used to improve other aspects of the game.The QueenThe queen is important to gameplay in that it can help you either gather bots or research. Both of these things are vital to progress further in the game. ResearchResearching is completed by the queen once it is available. The queen must be set to research specific upgrades one at a time. These upgrades affect a number of different aspects of the game, from resources per click to automated resource production and more. Once they have been researched, they need to be manually activated before their effects are applied.EvolutionThis is a staging mechanic that allows you to progress through the game in set stages. Each evolutionary form represents a new level in the game. New upgrades become available, new options in the forge become available, and the missed secrets from the last level are lost and replaced with those of the new level. Evolution is performed by researching the required upgrade (Evolution: Stage X), then activating it. An "Evolve" button presents itself, which enables the player to move on to the next stage.Once evolution is complete, the queen must once again grow to 100% before researching can be started again.SecretsScattered throughout each stage are a number of secret, clickable objects. Each of these provide a small to moderate once off bonus to bots. Once a stage has been passed, the secrets from that stage can no longer be found, thus the achievements attached to them are lost until the game is prestiged and the stage once again attained.LaboratoryThe laboratory can be used to gamble bots in the hope of achieving free bots in return. This works similar to a slot machine, and has a fairly balanced return rate. However, there is a chance that upon using the machine, a virus outbreak can occur.A virus outbreak gradually eats away at your bots. It is represented by a bot moving around the screen randomly. To gain Narrativium quicker attach Portal Amplifier to the portal and connect more cogs and engines to it.In the Clockwork City the only source of energy is the mechanical Sun. As you spin the sun with your finger its energy is transported to the buildings: Houses, Taverns, Windmills and Towers. The buildings are unfolded (just like in the Game of Thrones intro :) ) and start generating money or energy. You can upgrade the buildings or attach additional power elements to them. For example, bellows hover around the Windmill and blows to it. And Tax collector flies a zeppelin and grabs coins from the buildings.To let the sun be rotated while the phone is off, connect a planet to it. The planets orbits around the sun and rotate it (yes, in this mechanical world physics works this way! :) ) Also the propeller can be connected to the sun and razes it higher, increasing the energy produced.Floating Islands world introduces discovery mechanics, as well as shooting and looting, besides the common building gameplay. You start on one island, build scout bases to find more. Connect the discovered islands with your central one with railroad bridges, cableways or antennas. All of these transport energy, and multiple connections work as energy multiplier. The more energy gets to the central island the more money is produced by the Bank.Build Oil Wells, Windmills and Lightning chargers to generate more energy on the islands. As soon as your sky empire is strong enough you can challenge yourself and build an airship bait. It will attract airship caravans full of gold. Strategically locate cannons and Tesla guns on their way to destroy and loot them.Combine available elements in all the worlds well to boost your income and to become a millionaire. To succeed you should to think as a scientist, explorer, engineer, tycoon or a spark!There are also some secret ways to earn more money in the game in active and idle modes: will you find them all?
